Wandering out of Carnaby street one day and what do I find?

The London Tweed Run.  That's what!
On Saturday the 9th April a mass of cyclists clad in both vintage and new tweed of all types upon their Pashleys and Penny Farthings took to the streets of London.

Described as a 'leisurely jaunt through the Empire's capital' it must be the perfect way to enjoy London's finer sights without enduring the hassles and heat of the tube.

Regents Street was where I found them and I just wish I'd known sooner...

... next year I'll definitely be taking part...

... my tweed jacket, flat cap and 1970's Raleigh at the ready!

I want one of those!

There's no hiding my love of old cars...

... secretly (but not so secretly) I want this one...
... yes its the car from Harry Potter... but I promise that's not why...

So I thought I pay tribute to some people who clearly were very proud of their cars back in the day...

All photos were found at carboot sales... yes... I know... another carboot sale... I promise that's not ALL I do....

Still my new favorite shop!

Previously I posted the autumn/winter collection from YMC (You Must Create) and now that summer (ok not quite yet) I figured why not show you their latest fashion offerings:

Oh wow.... I want these - SO MUCH

What a Picture!

I love saving old photographs from possible decomposition in a skip somewhere...
...and these old passport photos were no exception...

Don't you just wish that they still did them this way?
I only wish that I knew his name...

Y. M. C.

You Must Create - a collection of men's and womenswear.

Wandering around London on a rainy day can lead to the discovery of many things, whether it be your first Ed's Diner milkshake (there is no better!) or a small clothing boutique. This last week I found YMC, an almost invisible store located near the Soho branch of Beyond Retro (more on those finds later).

Only recently have I discovered my love of menswear, but this shop was exactly where I would take any guy wanting to look the part without having to venture anywhere near a Topman OR spend excessive amounts of money.

With an eclectic mix of men's and women's clothing and a shop fitted out with vintage cabinets and a stuffed warthog; YMC provides every man with a wardrobe filled with gorgeous shirts, super chunky knits and even chunkier socks.

Blue Jeans / Suede Shoes

Ben Schofield - Assistant Editor of Idol Magazine

OK so everyone apparently hates Henry Holland... but I think these jeans work with their statement colour blue.
